“Promahones”, a sculptural installation of monumental scale made of steel, is presented at the Benaki Museum’s patio (Pireos str). The shadows that the artwork produces and their accompanying sound create a shifting “environment”, in which the viewer is called to experience synesthesia, by participating physically and spiritually. The stillness of the sculpture is “liquefied”, creating dynamic shapes in continuous motion, like images from a battle of an uncertain outcome. The work refers to a condition that resembles a siege, and also to the state of being vigilant at the barricades, to resistance.
